Palma de Mallorca Airport is around eight kilometres from the city, with the A1 airport bus serving central Palma.

April to June and September to October generally provide warm conditions for walking around Palma without the strongest midsummer heat. July and August are hotter, busier and more expensive, particularly during island-wide holiday periods. Winter is mild compared with northern Europe and suits museums, shopping and quieter sightseeing, although rain is more likely. Spring and autumn remain useful for combining the Old Town with cycling, coastal walks and island excursions.
